The good news to me, is that the BFS is finally in play, and it is profitable. However, there are still quite a few things unanswered here (kind of like the zones that never got drilled up):
WASTE ROCK:
We have two different statements on this, or more in the NR. As numerous people have posted, the "retail" folk just don't understand that the waste rock will be understood to be included by the majors. I don't know - there are two different statements on this, and I guess the outcome will be determined in the days to come. One statement says we need more drilling, the other seems to pin the tail on the study for saying it can't be included (wink wink, those in the know will include it)
1) The Feasibility Study recommends diamond drilling to determine the extent to which the 171.16 million tonnes of inferred resource that lie within the proposed open pit, now treated as waste, can be upgraded to either a Measured or Indicated Mineral Resource. If successful, this would categorize this rock as a revenue generator.
2) Within the pit shell there is a total of 171.16 million tonnes of inferred resource grading 0.25% copper, 0.018% molybdenum, 0.164 grams per tonne ('gpt') gold and 1.58 gpt silver which for purposes of this study must be treated as waste rock;
TPD: I'm glad there is capacity for 180,000 tpd ... but it's not right away, just potential. Wonder if they were pushing for 180k like Elmer said, and then "someon" backed off on this.
The proposed process plant would be a conventional double-line grinding-flotation concentrator. The plant site has sufficient mill pad area to install a third processing line to increase daily throughput to 180,000 tpd should expansion of the mine be required to optimize the economics of the project.
