Essentially yes. Just the proximity and the association with the golden triangle. Obviously some quick research would help distinguish the differences but some people are too lazy or disinterested.

If you say mining in northern B.C., those that are familiar will most likely recall the negative aspect and position that Nova Gold and Teck are in with GC.
