I agree that this is an example of jockeying for a better position and to squeeze as much value as possible out of this company for the shareholders. It seems likely as well that the timelines are being dictated by Teck and their needs as well. And to speculate on what those needs are would be just that.

What I hold issue with is the lack of transparency to shareholders. A couple of weeks ago, things were said to be right on schedule and shareholders were told there would be no delay. Now we're 6 weeks behind schedule. It would be very naive to think that management wasn't aware weeks ago that we wouldn't meet the previous deadline.

Either management has been terifically incompetent, or they withheld information from the shareholders of the company. I appreciate the long-term goal and have the patience to wait, but think it's incredibly unjust that the general public has to make trading decisions based on only part of the story.
