There is NO blackout period for insiders....

Insiders would not be allowed to buy shares while having unreleased material information in hand. Insiders are expecting the BFS in the 4th Quarter of 2011. They could have it right now. They may have had it since mid-November imo.

We are also waiting for "waaaaaaaaaaay overdue" results on at least 13 key cores and some on really nice looking targets - nicer looking than Schaft Creek in my armchair-geo opinion. . If anyone of those cores confirms additional deposits OR confirms increased grades that is also material information. Any of these items would have to be reviewed by Teck before release to the pulic. Any of these items could trigger negotiations.

All of these take time to review, digest, forward to Teck, wait for Teck, discuss with Teck, negotiate maybe, wait for another core or two, negotiate some more, and on and on...

Insider buys (as well as institutional-size buying by Stifel) have been absent since way over a month and is possibly a record absence of buying. hmmmm

Sounds like a black-out to me.
