SASKATOON, March 3 /CNW/ - Claude Resources Inc. (TSX: CRJ) (NYSE: CGR) ("Claude") is pleased to announce that Ted
Nieman has been appointed as Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr.
Nieman will replace Josef Spross whom retired effective March 1, 2011.
Mr. Nieman has served on the Claude Board since January 2007.
Mr. Nieman began his career with the law firm Estey, Robertson, Muzyka,
Beaumont, Barton and Bell in 1973. In 1993, Mr. Nieman joined Canpotex
Limited ("Canpotex"), the offshore marketing company for the
Saskatchewan potash producers, as General Counsel and Corporate
Secretary. In 1995, he was appointed Vice President and in 2001 he was
appointed Senior Vice President. He is a current member of Canpotex's
Executive Management and of the board of directors of all Canpotex
subsidiaries and affiliates.
Claude Resources Inc. is a public company based in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan, whose shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange
(TSX-CRJ) and the NYSE Amex (NYSE Amex-CGR). Claude is a gold
exploration and mining company with an asset base located entirely in
Canada. Since 1991, Claude has produced approximately 930,000 ounces of
gold from its Seabee mining operation in northeastern Saskatchewan. The
Company also owns 100 percent of the 10,000 acre Madsen property in the
prolific Red Lake gold camp of northwestern Ontario and has a 65
percent working interest in the Amisk Gold Project in northeastern
