Trial results to be announced "shortly"

Pretty non-specific. Hopefully that is so that no one gets an advantage either way, or if there is bias at play, they want it to be a surprise.

Re: Biodel Primed To Capitalize On Next Generation Treatments In The $10B Diabetes M

The silver lining in this article is the general education about diabetes and the benefit of ultra-rapid acting insulins.

It can't hurt to have this information being disseminated by any means at this stage of the game. If someone buys into the concept of ultra-rapid acting insulin and its close proximity to the natural physiology of the pancreas and then takes a deeper dive into the market, they'll quickly find that MNKD is a leader and likely will be for some time.

The harder they try to point out where Biodel will be successful, the greater the chances they'll choose to invest in MNKD instead. jmho

Re: Diane's at it again:

We have to look at her tenure at MNKD to be absolutely fair. Her options have an expiration, typically between 7 and 10 years. If the options she exercised were going to expire in the next few weeks/months, who could blame her for taking they money in lieu of letting the options expire and get nothing. I don't know how long she's worked there, but it is in the realm of possibilities.

Re: Question for OPC on Warrants and Shorts

Thanks for the detailed response. I think the part that helped bring this home for me is that I didn't realize the warrants could be exercised.

Question for OPC on Warrants and Shorts

I don't even care to post on "the other board" anymore. It takes some infantile punk 10 seconds to create a look alike name and post some absurd response or post to redicule a valid discussion.

So my question to you here is, and I am a very novice trader, I am under the impression that if you short the stock, you typically do so with borrowed money in a margin account. If that's the case, wouldn't a significant price increase at this time derail anyone planning to use warrants to cover those short positions since the warrants cannot be exercised yet.

Example:

If I shorted last week at $4 and change, and the price has increase well over 30% since then, I would expect the house holding the shorts to issue a margin call on these positions. The short trader cannot just close the trade by exercising his warrants yet, so how does this play into them using warrants to short without experiencing some significant hits trying to keep the broker happy?

Thanks in adavance, and I apologize if this is a totally naive question.
