Maybe we are in settlement talks with them, but they do not like our request, thus they go out and hire a big-time firm for the intimidation factor to make it look like they will go the full distance and try to bury us with more legal expense and the passage of time. Ergo, we should accept their offer today (in their mind).

After 13 years and a multitude of nuisance value settlements, I think most of us are no longer interested in settlements, unless they exceed $40 million per respondent.
