In the Quanta case the Supreme Court ruled against LG because it did not distingush between a manufacturers license and a resellers license. They left the door open for contract law to differentiate the two. I believe it was part of their decision that was mentioned.

Now the question is: Did we sell Intel and AMD, or any other manufacturer a manufacturers licenses only ?

TPL's website distinguishes between the two, but have we always sold licenses with that distinction. I asked this question years ago because I forsaw possible problems but no one seemed interested at the time.

Mark you always seem to not mention the above. Perhaps you know something that the rest of us do not?
