Your reaction to Eggberts shared info is a bit over the top if you THINK about it at all.
First, how did Eggbert pose the question? Did he ask with the operative word "can", e.g., "CAN licensing activity continue while the dispute with TPL continues?". To an English-speaking person, the appropriate response would be "Yes they can.", not "Yes they will".
Second, without knowing when the dispute will be resolved (heck, it could happen tomorrrow), wouldn't it be impossible to say "will"?
Also, we all know how predictable licensing can be, that's why so many demanded that the company acquire another company/business line - prematurely - so we'd have a predictable revenue stream. Using the word "will" is an absolute. I suspect the license fee currently demanded also impacts predictability. You DEMAND an accurate prediction?
How about just thanking Eggbert for being so kind as to share this feedback and take some comfort (as much as you choose) in the response?
