Paying in installments does not affect when the income part of the transaction is reflected in "Sales". If there are contingencies, such as the amount to be paid is based on a percentage of the licensees sales, then our income is not recorded until the licensee records their sales (you can't record income if you don't know what the actual income number is).

In a nutshell, if the money has been "earned", it will be recorded in OUR income, regardless of when we recieve the money.
