There are geologists on site in Morogoro gathering samples for testing in a lab in Dar Es Salaam. These samples will help the geologists to know where to put the drills for initial exploration. And no, an exact time frame can't be given but they are doing this diligently and as fast as they can.
They know the importance of helping the locals. Part of that was to help the artisan miners who were without water. Sidon has now provided them with a pump (could be more than one - don't remember) so that these artisan miners now have access to water. Sidon gets 50% of any gold that these miners recover.
