It is just all part of the drama. Most if given an edge would use it. Including most on here if the shoe was on the other foot. They need to ask big now or they will get screwed. And the real BIG are not going away. And, it will end up being only a small piece of the pie.
A broken society is trying to survive. Drinking, suicide, and other things not mentionable are happening to these people. But, they are getting educated, they are getting stronger, and they are in my opinion fighting to get better. It is easy to judge by our rules of fairness, law and good stewardship: it is harder to look the ugliness in the face and feel compassion, understanding, and acceptance of what might not seem quite fair according to our rules of conduct on a high level.
In the end, it is not really about what WE did eons ago. It is about what we do now. Further, it is out of our hands. Opportunities of great magnitude must be given not to right any past wrong but to help a Sovereign Nation within our country achieve what should have been achieved many long years ago.
Sorry to soapbox. But, when the Indians are Pow Wowing, you can be sure they have good reason and know more about what is really happening up there than we ever can.
So, in my opinion, even though our share price is taking a hit, even though the drills are not turning, even though we are being left like mushrooms in the dark and being fed you know what, it is really all good news. Read the Big Score. Read how Inco dealt at Voisey Bay. It will all come to pass in the Ring of Fire too.
