Max % jump in a day

I'm not sure if there's more to it than just psychological reasons but rarely do you see a stock jump more than 100% (+/- 25%) in a single day. At least I haven't seen many.

So even if they have stellar results it will likely double, then hold, then climb more on subsequent days.

So it's good that we're slowly hiking up on the way to good news because a 100% increase only gets better the higher the share price.
