The rumour is that Xstrata is interested in ROF. They are trying to raise funds with a pp out of London. Are they doing this to generate cash for an offer in ROF?

Xstrata sent people from Sudbury to ROF about a year ago before Blackbird, Big Daddy, Black Thor and they concluded that the "2 pods" E1 & E2 did not contain enough reserves to warrant the cost of infrastructure in spite of the grade.

Since Chrome seems to be the main interest at ROF, FOR NOW, would Vale or Xstrata be interested? Neither are in the business of making Ferrochrome.

Hoov or someone had a post on new processing methods of chrome which was very interesting. Can the Sudbury Smelters be converted to produce ferrochrome at a reasonable price?????? Isn't Cliffs a better fit????

Lots of questions......not many answers....YET.
