Pellets and/or concentrate is sent to Sept-Iles PQ from 3 Iron Ore mines, 2 in Lab West, and 1 just across the border in Quebec. A fourth mine will be producing in Sept/09. This one is also a few km away in Quebec, and apparently heavily invested by the Chinese. There is one rail line to serve the entire industry...approx 400km to Sept-Iles. No idea as to the cost per ton.
