Why do people always blame the previous administration. The debt has been growing for years and years. Clinton just happened to be president during the 90's. Had he been able to sit in office more than 8 years, do you really believe that it would make a world of difference. And check your facts, the "surplus" was just an accounting one, not a true one because he did not take any future liabilities into account. Not to say things were not better but there is enough blame to go around. Now comes the hard part, actually doing something about it.
