Think folks....why is there no news?
Even if Hugo directly said no to Crystallex and CREC/CRRC, or telegraphed nationalization (he already owns it) to the people, or advised China that he'd do a deal on the side or the Chinese walked then plan B (arbitration) would be commenced, for which the lawyers would have a template pr up and running. If that was the case then IR would be informed so as to advise shareholders. But none of that, both RM and Andrea appear out of the loop (although some BOD members would no doubt provide some non-official appeasement to them). I think arbitration is no longer a possibility because if it was we would have the news to that end.
Going out of business when we have sufficient funds to continue isn't an option. McQuarie isn't going to let a $ 4 - $ 5 Billion arb claim go out of business. The noteholders are not going to let KRY go out of business. Some noteholder assault isn't going to cause us to go out of business because they'd want the company to continue to reclaim their investment. Any effort by the noteholders would be fought in court, previous noteholder attempts having failed.
So, I think it fair to say arbitration, noteholder issue and going broke are not options.
What does that leave us with......................permit or buyout.
Both are acceptable options.
My take is that, as EZ advised earlier, is that Crystallex has been advised/received official confirmation they will receive MOC transfer and permit, that Venezuela will need to cover such news in a general make work, Chinese investment, Basic Industries CVG socialist announcement by Hugo for which cover will be sought on the Friday prior because a possibility exists that no mention will be made of Crystallex mining Las Cristinas - but CREC/CRRC per jimmijazz original thoughts on this topic.
We wait now, I believe, for the Chinese JV partner to ok the release, for Hugo to advise his people in advance and for us to be advised prior trading on Monday.
Anyway, just some thoughts.
